For almost ten years Vancouver Island Art Workshops has had the privilege of hosting some of North America’s most renowned art instructors. During this time, we have gained the support of an expanding community of emerging and established artists who have grown along with us and continue to make us an integral part of their art education.
We have a terrific line up of exciting and sought-after artists booked for years to come. We also have some very talented "hidden gems" we can't wait to introduce. Each will share their insights into exploring the creative process, learning new techniques, pushing boundaries and looking for new ways of self expression.
Our workshop atmosphere is open, sharing and supportive. This, coupled with our hands-on approach ensures that Vancouver island Art Workshops delivers what students and instructors alike often refer to as "the best workshop ever!"

Mary Stewart, AFCA, owner of Vancouver Island Art Workshops, is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has won numerous awards for her mixed media paintings and collage. She began facilitating workshops after recognizing the need for artists to have greater access to exceptional instructors.
